Colorado General Hospital and Gail Weingast MD

September 20, 2018

There are many steps that go into becoming a doctor. First, there is undergraduate followed by graduate medical school, internships and then residencies until one is ready to practice on their own. This is a lengthy process. For many, where they first perform their internships and residencies help them to better understand their overall goals for their career. In the case of Gail Weingast MD, after her educational endeavors, she did an internship in the field of pediatrics from 1976-1977 at the Colorado General Hospital in Denver. This year gave her a chance to dive deep into many different case types and patient types. It helped her to see what she might want to explore next and gave her roots in the Colorado area. While she no longer works in pediatrics or in Colorado, Gail Weingast will always feel that Colorado General Hospital had a great impact on her life.
